Dilip Kumar Likely To Be Moved Back To General Ward In A Few Days

Veteran Bollywood actor Dilip Kumar, who was admitted to the hospital last week after suffering from dehydration and a Urinary Tract Infection (UTI), might get shifted to the general ward soon. According to The Indian Express report, the 94-year-old actor’s health has been improving since yesterday.

“Dilip Kumar’s health is improving and he could soon be shifted to a normal ward from the Intensive Care Unit (ICU),” said Dr Ravishankar, CEO, Lilavati Hospital.

An official statement from the hospital also read details about his health: “Creatinine level has also been coming down. He is passing urine, he is not on the ventilator, he is not on dialysis either and he is doing well. It’s very difficult to say when he will be get discharged but it will take some more time.”

On Sunday, his close aides took to his Twitter account to tweet about his condition.

On Sunday, Ajaykumar Pandey, Vice President of Lilavati Hospital told PTI, that the actor would be kept in the ICU for two-three days. “Today he has no fever, no breathlessness. He is conscious, the creatinine levels have come down as compared to yesterday. Due to his age, he is under observation and will be in the ICU for two-three days depending on how his body responds,” he said.

The veteran actor was admitted on Wednesday, and reports till Thursday night said his condition had worsened. Some updates said he had been put on ventilator support.

However, on Friday, doctors treating him clarified that he was not on ventilator support and neither was his condition unstable.
