Kishore, known as Dolly is replacing S. J. Surya as director of Pawan Kalyan’s next film. Surya has backed out of it owing to increased acting commitments since his stint in Iraivi. The film is said to be a remake of the Tamil film Veeram. He had previously directed Gopala Gopala starring Pawan Kalyan and Venkatesh.
S. J. Surya’s performance in Iraivi has garnered praise and since then he has been getting many acting offers. In spite of many adjustments to the shooting schedules of the project, Surya and the production company mutually agreed that he should step aside as the director, to avoid delays.
The film is currently in the pre-production stage and shooting for it is set to commence by the end of July. Anup Rubens is the music composer of the film and it would be produced by Northstar Entertainment.
Pawan Kalyan will also be acting in the Telugu remake of Vedalam, which will be directed by Neason.
