Director Vijay has titled his next Karu. Sai Pallavi is the lead of this film that is scheduled to go on the floors soon.
A spokesperson for the director told Silverscreen, “We are yet to finalise the rest of the cast and crew apart from Sai Pallavi.”

The film is a crime thriller, and is said to be a departure from Vijay’s usual films.
Karu will mark Sai Pallavi’s debut in Tamil. Following this, the director is expected to begin work on his Tamil remake of Malayalam film Charlie. Sai Pallavi plays the female lead in this one while Madhavan reprises Dulquer Salman’s role from the original.
Meanwhile, Vijay’s Vanamagan starring Jayam Ravi and Sayyeshaa is expected to hit the screens on May 19 this year.
