Donald Trump Inspires A Marvel Supervillain Called ‘Modaak’

Controversial US Presidential candidate Donald Trump has been cast as a new supervillain by Marvel comics, in the latest issue of SpiderGwen, a series set in an alternate Earth universe. Written by Jason Latour, the issue carried a character called ‘MODAAK’, which bears an uncanny resemblance to the Republican nominee. The comic shows him being beaten to a pulp by a female version of Captain America. Trump is not the first public political figure to be given the comic book treatment – Presidential  rivals Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders have already been initiated into the world of graphic novels.

CmdENVBWEAAvYwoMODAAK, an acronym for “Mental Organism Designed as America’s King” is a spin of MODOK, “Mental Organism Designed Only for Killing,” a character best known for going up against Captain America. Latour has thrown in a few topical references to Trump’s dislike of immigrants as well the the theme of his small hands in the story. MODAAK is defeated by a black, female Captain America, after he calls another character of colour “foreign filth” – despite the fact that they hail from Waco, Texas.

Although social media was abuzz with news of Trump’s villainous avatar, Trump has yet to issue a response.
