I Play A Brief Yet Strong Role in Malupu: Richa Pallod

Actress Richa Pallod, who will soon be seen in debut director Sathya Prabhas Pinisetty’s Tamil-Telugu thriller Malupu, said she doesn’t view the film as her comeback to the southern filmdom because of the ‘length of the role’. She added that she’s happy to have played a role that required her to do more than just dance around trees. “I don’t look at this as my comeback. I play a brief yet strong role and I’m happy to have gotten this opportunity. You know, it’s tough to bag such roles after you’ve become a mom. I consider myself lucky that Sathya gave me an opportunity to prove myself as an actor,” Richa told Silverscreen, but remained tight-lipped about her role in the film.

It’s believed that she will be seen as actor Mithun Chakraborty’s daughter and when asked, she did not deny it. “I’m not allowed to talk about my role. It’s going to be something the audiences have not seen me in so far,” she said. The film, which is titled Yagavarayinum Naa Kaakka in Tamil, features actor Aadi Pinisetty in the lead.
