Mrinalini Ravi, known for her dubsmash videos on Tamil cinema dialogues and songs, is all set to make her debut in Tamil cinema. She has been roped in as the female lead in debutante director Suresh Kumar’s movie, Nagal.
The director spoke to TOI and confirmed the news. “This film has only a single lead character throughout, which will be a challenging role to play. The film has no other characters. The story will revolve around the character, which will be essayed by Mrinalini.” Suresh also added that the team has seen her popular dubsmash videos and approached her for the project.

Mrinalini, popularly known as Miru, is currently working as an IT professional in Bengaluru. She is an engineering graduate from Pondicherry.
The 22-year-old Miru will play a working professional, and will be seen traveling from one place to another in the movie. The director added, “Her character in the film will travel from one place to another. The incidents that take place during her travel forms the crux of the story.”
The film will go on floors from February 20.
