Hollywood actor Brad Pitt has been cleared of allegations of mistreatment of his eldest son Maddox on a private jet, according to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). The FBI closed the case after conducting a review of the circumstances.
The 52-year-old actor had been accused of mistreating his son Maddox, 15, on board a private flight from France to Los Angeles in September. It was soon after this incident, Angelina Jolie filed for divorce. She has sought sole custody of their six children. However, Pitt is seeking joint legal and physical custody of the kids, three of whom were adopted by Jolie before the couple began dating in 2004.
Eleven days ago, the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services (DCFC) had cleared the actor of the same case. According to a report in NBC News, the allegations against Pitt were found to be weak after interviews with family members — including the children — and a review of the facts in the case.
