Speaking to Silverscreen India, Arun said that his upcoming feature will be a children’s drama film packed with a lot of humour. “I wrote this script long ago. I felt this was the right time to make it as I feel there is not much quality entertainment content for children in Tamil,” the filmmaker added.

He also noted that the film will revolve around the theme ‘Anbukkorpanjamillai’ which loosely translates to ‘there is no dearth of love’.

“Love is the ultimate solution for many problems and concerns — that’s our film’s take. The film will also capture how the concept of childhood has evolved over the years with the advent of technology and other factors,” Arun said, adding that though the film that will primarily revolve around children, it aims to be a treat for the child in everyone.

The child artists for the film have been selected after auditions and the cast will also feature some well-known adult actors, he said.

Noting that further announcements on the cast and crew will be made in the coming weeks, Arun added that the team is hoping to begin filming in September in Chennai. “We earlier completed script-reading sessions and are now planning to conduct workshops from the second week of August to train the artists.”
