A IBN Live report says that the Bengaluru police have lodged an FIR against Rajnikanth’s wife Latha Rajinikanth in an alleged case of forgery, declaration of false statements and using of false evidence and cheating.

Latha has been accused of creating a fake letterhead under the Publishers and Broadcast Welfare Association of India to obtain a gag order on 76 publications in December 2014.
The publications had released news about the money dispute she had with Ad Bureau, a commissioned producer of ‘Kochadaiyaan’ which was directed by Rajinikanth’s younger daughter Soundarya R. Ashwin and featured Rajinikanth and Deepika Padukone.
Ad Bureau had had accused Latha of double-selling the rights of Kochadaiyaan in November last year. The Bengaluru court ordered a case to be filed against her and three others on the basis of a private complaint.
