The first look of Dulquer Salmaan’s upcoming movie with director Amal Neerad was released on Thursday, on the occasion of the actor’s 30th birthday. In the untitled movie, the actor plays Aji Mathew, a young communist from Pala town in Kottayam.
The first look poster was released through Dulquer’s recently launched website. Written by Shibin Francis, the movie is produced by Amal Neerad. Debutante Karthika Muraleedharan, daughter of Bollywood cinematographer CK Muraleedharan, plays the female lead in the film which has Soubin Shahir, Siddique, and Dileesh Pothen playing supporting roles. Amal’s long time associate Renadive is handling the cinematography for the film.
Reportedly, the movie’s first schedule has been completed, and the team will head to the USA to shoot the rest of the portions. Said to be a romantic comedy, the film is Amal Neerad’s second collaboration with Dulquer, who earlier played the lead in the director’s short film Kullante Bharya (The Dwarf’s Wife).
Amal Neerad, who started off his career in Mollywood through Big B in 2007, is one of the most prominent contemporary filmmakers in Mollywood. His last film was Iyyobinte Pusthakam (The Book Of Iyyob), a dark period drama starring Fahadh Fazil.
