First-Look Of Sivakarthikeyan’s Next To Release This Month

Actor Sivakarthikeyan has announced that the title and first-look poster of his upcoming film with director M Rajesh, of Siva Manasula Sakthi fame, will be revealed soon. This is his first collaboration with the director. The film is a comedy drama with Nayanthara in the lead, starring Sathish, Radhika Sarathkumar and others in important roles.

Sivakarthikeyan will also be working on two other first time collaborations this year. One is with director Ravi Kumar of Netru Indru Naalai fame. It is said to be a big-budget science fiction film, scheduled for a 2020 release. His third film is with PS Mithran.

Sivakarthikeyan released a video on New Year’s day, and said that 2019 will be an exciting year for both him and the audience. He also thanked his fans and said 2018 was a special year for him.

Sivakarthikeyan is currently an actor, producer and lyricist. He began his career with Vijay TV’s Kalakka Povathu Yaaru: Season 1, and acted in his first Tamil film Marina in 2012, by director Pandiaraj. In five years he has worked on 12 films.

In 2018, he sang a song for his first production Kanaa. ‘Vaayadi Petha Pulla’ is by him and his daughter Arathana, and it currently has over 6 million views on YouTube. The film starred Aishwarya Rajesh in the lead, and was directed by his long-time friend Arunraja Kamaraj.

Sivakarthikeyan also wrote the lyrics for for ‘Kalyana Vayasu’ from Nelson Dilipkumar’s Nayanthara-starrer Kolamaavu Kokila. Last year, he received the Edison Award for Favourite Actor, and the South Indian International Movie Award (SIIMA) for Best Actor for his film Velaikkaran by director Mohan Raja.

His next production venture is with debut director Karthik Venugopal, starring VJ Rio in the lead. Karthik is a popular YouTuber who gained fame for his channel Black Sheep Tamil. A spokesperson for this film told Silverscreen that Sivakarthikeyan might star in the film. This has not been confirmed as yet.
