The first-look of Vijay’s Thalapathy 63 will reportedly be out on his birthday on June 22. An official announcement is yet to be made.

With less than ten days to go for his birthday, Vijay has been among the top trends on Twitter. Two days ago the tag #MeVijay went viral, followed by #VijayBdayManiaIn10Days yesterday.

While these trends are usually planned and organised by Vijay fan clubs, #MeVijay was started for fun after a Vijay fan posted a list of his family members’ favourite actors.

“Favorite Actors of my family members:
Grandpa – Sivaji and Vijay
Grandma – Gemini Ganesan and Vijay
Dad – Vijay
Mom – Vijay
Brother – Vijay
Me – Vijay
Proud to have born and raised in the family that evolves as #Vijay fans. (sic)”

Over 50,000 tweets were posted under the tag, according to a Vijay fan club account.

Meanwhile, Ajith Kumar’s Nerkonda Paarvai team decided to release their film’s trailer after a sudden announcement yesterday morning, leading to an Ajith-Vijay clash on Twitter.

Work on Thalapathy 63 is proceeding in full swing with Vijay, Nayanthara, director Atlee and others shooting the final schedule at EVP Film City, Chennai.

Recently, AR Rahman, the film’s composer, and Atlee met to oversee the edits of two songs. Rahman posted a picture from his studio in Chennai saying he was first to see the edits. Work on the third song is reportedly underway.

Meanwhile, reports say that Screen Scene Entertainment has bagged the theatrical rights of the film for a big amount. An official announcement on this has not come yet.

Vijay may be seen in a dual role as a father and son in the film. The film is an investigative thriller and stars Vijay as the captain of a football team. Varsha Bolamma, Indhuja, Kathir, Jackie Shroff, Vivekh and Yogi Babu play important roles. Release is scheduled for Deepavali this year. Work on Thalapathy 64 has also reportedly started, and Lokesh Kanagaraj will be directing the film.

Nayanthara’s upcoming films include Kolaiyuthir Kaalam and Darbar.
