Former ‘Bigg Boss’ Contestant Mandana Karimi Files Domestic Violence Case

Actress Mandana Karimi (Bigg BossKyaa Kool Hain Hum 3) has filed a case of domestic violence against husband Gaurav Gupta at the Andheri magistrate court in Mumbai. The couple married six months ago. Karimi now says she was forced to stop acting and forced to change her religion by Gupta’s family.

According to an NDTV report, the actress, of Iranian origin, claimed that her in-laws had thrown her out of the house seven weeks ago. She also said that her husband has cut off contact from her. In the petition filed by her, she asks for maintenance of Rs 10 lakh per month and compensation of Rs. 2 crore “for the trauma and agony caused, and loss of career and business”.

She also states that she was forced to stop acting after her marriage as Gupta’s family thought the “profession did not match up with his family’s status in the society.” She also said that she was forced to change her religion by Gupta’s family. 

The couple were married on January 26, 2017.

Mandana made her mark on television with appearances on Bigg Boss. She went on to act in Kyaa Kool Hain Hum 3 and Main Aur Charles.
