Actress Vedhika, who won critical acclaim for her performance in the 2014 historical film Kaaviya Thalaivan, will be portraying a range of ages, from a schoolgirl to a 60 year old woman, in her upcoming film Vinodhan. According to a Times of India report, the story will trace Vedhika’s transition across the decades with minimal make-up additions even for the 60 year old look. The team plans to work with her natural facial structure. Vedhika, who loves challenging roles, had earlier said the role was ‘a dream come true’ in terms of her career plans, according to a DNA report.
At present, the cast is attending virtual acting workshops over Skype from the movie’s debutant director Victor Jayaraj, as the script is performance-heavy and demanding for the actors, according to the report. Shooting of Vinodhan will begin sometime in September and the actress would join the sets as soon as she completes her Kannada film Shivalinga.
Isari Velan’s grandson will play the male lead in the film. Vinodhan will be funded by Prabhudeva’s Prabhudeva Studios.
