G Dhananjayan’s Creative Entertainers and Distributors has begun 2020 with the acquisition of the rights of the Suresh Ravi-Raveena starrer Kavalthurai Ungal Nanban.
Talking about the decision, Dhananjayan said, “We have always leaned towards content-driven films, and that has really pushed our value in the market. Considering the year that was 2019, we decided to continue our success into 2020 by backing films that had good stories and plots.”
About acquiring the rights for Kavalthurai Ungal Nanban, the producer said, “This was a coincidence that suited our company. We felt that we had found another asset for the company after we had watched the movie.”

The producer praised the team for the work they had put in, saying, “The film looks really good. And the story is realistic. Kudos to the director and technical crew. Suresh Ravi, Raveena, Mime Gopi, Sharath Ravi, RJ Munna, Super Good Subramani and others have showcased outstanding performances. We have already started executing the marketing and promotional plans that includes the confirmation of screens and will soon make the official announcement on release date.”
Now that the rights have been acquired the nitty-gritty of marketing, release dates, etc, are being sorted out. The duo Adhityha-Soorya is composing the music and Vishnu Shri is handling cinematography. Vadivel and Vimal Raj are handling editing and Rajesh is the Art director. Om Prakash is choreographing action sequences and dialogues-lyrics have been written by Gnanakaravel.
