Game Of Thrones Season 8 Major Battle Sequence Took 55 Days To Film

The long-running, fan favourite television series Games of Thrones was recently in the news for its massive set that was created to complete a war sequence. It took the team 55 days to film it which turns out to be a record in television history.

Assistant director Jonathan Quinlan took to Instagram to thank the producers and team of GoT for putting up with this huge task. The post has since been removed but it was enough for the GoT followers to speculate on the coming season which will be the show’s last one. The long shoot was supposedly for a battle scene at Winterfell.

In the previous episodes, the Battle of Bastards took 25 days to shoot.

Last September, HBO had announced directors Miguel Sapochnik and David Nutter will be returning for the final season of GoT.

The Game of Thrones season 8 will consist of six and will come in 2019.
