Game Of Thrones, The People v. O.J. Simpson Dominate 68th Emmy Awards

The 68th annual Primetime Emmy Awards were announced this Sunday, and  HBO’s fantasy-drama series Game Of Thrones bagged the award for Outstanding Drama Series for the second year in a row. It is now the most awarded scripted series in Emmy history, with 38 wins, surpassing the previous record of 37 overall wins held by Frasier. Based on George RR Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire series, the show also took home the awards for Outstanding Writing for a drama series (David Benioff and DB Weiss for the episode Battle Of The Bastards) and Outstanding Directing for a drama series (Miguel Sapochnik).
