Gautami Returns To Mollywood With ‘Viswasapoorvam Mansoor’

Gautami Tadimalla has been cast in a major role in Viswasapoorvam Mansoor. The actress’ last Malayalam release was Varum Varunnu Vannu that hit the screens in 2003.

Gautami plays the mother of the film’s lead, Roshan Mathew. The project’s director PT Kunju Muhammad, told TOI, “Her character’s name is Maliyekkal Fathibi aka Fathima Beevi. She is the mother of Mansoor, the character played by Roshan. Fathibi is a broadminded woman, who resides in Thalassery with her son. Their world is confined to each other, till a mother and daughter make an unexpected entry into their lives.”

Prayaga Martin of Pisaasu fame is the female lead in this film. The movie will go on the floors in February and will be shot in Thalassery and Mumbai.
 
Actors Shweta Menon, Leona Lishoy, Renji Panicker, Sajitha Madhathil, and Santhosh Keezhattoor have been cast in key roles in the film. Dialogues are by PT Kunju Muhammad, while the music has been composed by Ramesh Narayanan.
 
Gautami’s last release was Manamantha, a tri-lingual, in which she played Gayathri. While the film was critically acclaimed, it was not successful at the box office. Gautami also has a film with actor Prabhu, that has the duo teaming up after 26 years.
