Ghajinikanth Trailer: The Arya-Starrer Looks Like A Promising Family Entertainer

Ghajinikanth Movie Stills Starring Arya, Sayyeshaa And Others

The first theatrical trailer of Arya’s comedy-drama Ghajinikanth has been released, and it looks like a promising family drama, with a good ensemble cast.  The film, directed by Santhosh P Jayakumar, stars Sayyeshaa as the female lead. Karunakaran, Sathish and Sampath form part of the rest of the cast.

The trailer focusses on establishing the character of Arya, who is named after Superstar Rajinikanth. But he tends to forget things, a la Rajinikanth’s character in Dharmathin Thalaivan (the trailer mentions this too!). The film is about what happens due to this forgetful nature of this.

The two-minute trailer is a fun-ride and makes every effort to convince you that it is a family entertainer. The director has made the adult comedies Hara Hara Mahadevaki, and the to-be-released Iruttu Araiyil Murattu Kuththu. At a certain point in the trailer, Arya says “This is the director’s first U- certified film”.

Hara Hara Mahadevaki was a hit among the youth of Tamil Nadu, and hopes are that Iruttu Araiyil Murattu Kuththu and Ghajinikanth will continue the director’s winning streak. Produced by KE Gnanavel Raja, under Studio Green, the movie is an official remake of the 2015 Telugu movie, Bhale Bhale Magadivoy, starring Nani and Lavanya Tripathi, and directed by Maruthi Dasari.

Music for the movie is composed by Balamurali Balu and cinematography by Ballu. The movie is set for an Eid release.
