Vijay Milton has begun work on Goli Soda 2. News about the sequel was announced by director Suseenthiran, who took to Twitter to wish Milton and his team.

In 2015, Milton had hinted that the script for Goli Soda 2 was ready. He added that he would commence the film when lead child actors – Kishore, Sreeram, Seetha, Pandi, Murugesh and Chandini – are old enough for the roles. Goli Soda 2 script is on the same lines of its prequel, but the story is set in the backdrop of a college.

A representative of Milton said, “It is a racy script and the boys are glad to be back. This time around, expect bigger challenges for the Goli Soda boys to overcome. The budget is also better than the first time around, so the output is going to be bigger and better than the first film. We hope to finish this film by the end of this year.”
Goli Soda released in 2014, and was a runaway hit. The film about a group of orphans taking on a local rowdy received mostly positive reviews from critics.
