Actor-composer GV Prakash Kumar will play the male lead in director Rambala’s upcoming film which will be produced by Stephen under his newly floated banner, Steeve’s Corner. Reportedly, GV Prakash will also compose the film’s music.

In an official press release, Stephen said:
I am very much glad to join with a successful combo for this film…Right from the day one of ‘Lollu Sabha’, I am a huge fan of Director Ram Bala sir. Most of the times I laugh out laugh because of his spontaneous comedy and timing counter attacks… We can experience it in his latest blockbuster ‘Dhilluku Dhuddu’.
The shooting of the film will begin this November, and the team is looking to release the film in early 2017. According to the press release, the cast will have a ‘surprise element’.
Director Rambala made his directorial debut earlier this year with the horror-comedy Dhillukku Dhuddu with Santhanam. Known for having directed a number of episodes of the popular Television sketch comedy series Lollu Sabha, Rambala had made several unsuccessful attempts to make the transition to the big screen. It was only late last year that the director finally got an opportunity to do so. While Dhillukku Dhuddu did not receive favourable reviews, its comedy-driven plot made it a moderate success at the box office.
GV Prakash Kumar is also yet to win big at the box office this year. Since his debut with Darling last year, the music composer-turned-actor has appeared in three films; out of which only Trisha Illana Nayanthara did well financially.
Undeterred, the actor has signed on to be a part of Bruce Lee, director Rajesh’s Kadavul Irukkan Kumaru and Adangathey. His Bruce Lee is likely to release next month.
