H Vinoth may direct Ajith Kumar in his next after Nerkonda Paarvai. Various reports suggest that this film too is likely to be produced by Boney Kapoor.
The shoot for Nerkonda Paarvai wrapped up recently and the film is in post-production. As scheduled, the movie will be out on August 10. Meanwhile, sources suggest that H Vinoth has signed another film with Boney Kapoor, and he has begun work on this project, tentatively titled Thala 60.
According to NewsToday, the makers are planning to complete the movie by March 2020 and release the film on Ajith’s birthday next year. Talks are on with AR Rahman for music.
Nerkonda Paarvai is Ajith Kumar’s second release this year after Viswasam. The film is an official remake of Taapsee Pannu and Amitabh Bachchan-starrer Pink and stars Shraddha Srinath, Abhirami Venkatachalam and Andrea Tariang along with Vidya Balan in a cameo.
As reported earlier, the film went on floors in April and was initially scheduled to release on May 1, on Ajith Kumar’s birthday, but only 30 percent of the shoot was completed as of March 10. The team announced a delay and said it did not want to shoot in a hurry.
The title and first look poster released amidst a lot of hype in March.

H Vinoth made his debut with the sleeper hit Sadhuranga Vettai in 2014, and later made Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru. His third venture is Nerkonda Paarvai. The film is produced by Boney Kapoor as a dedication to his late wife, actress Sridevi. The remake will reportedly be different from the original film with changes to suit the Tamil audience.
The film may also star Adhik Ravichandran as one of the antagonists. Rangaraj Pandey might reprise Piyush Mishra’s role, the advocate who fought the case against Amitabh Bachchan in the original movie.
Arjun Chidambaram, Aswin Rao and Sujith Shankar also star in the film. Music is by Yuvan Shankar Raja, cinematography by Nirav Shah, and editing by Gokul Chandran.
