Actor Silambarasan rang in his 31st birthday with a surprise guest. Midnight on 3 February, the ‘Vaalu’ actor was given an amazing birthday party by the cast and crew of his latest movie. Armed with a huge cake and festoons, the director and his team surprised STR with a rousing rendition of ‘Happy Birthday’. Also a part of the festivities was STR’s rumoured on/off girlfriend Hansika Motwani who reportedly flew to Chennai from a shoot, all to celebrate his birthday!
From fervent declarations of love on various social media platforms to pretty candid interviews about their relationship, the pair have had a very public romance until recently. After a suspiciously silent period during which various rumours of a ‘split’ emerged, following STR’s on screen reunion with a past flame, actress Nayanthara, there was speculation that the intense romance was over. Putting all that to rest, Hansika was seen once again in the company of STR throughout his birthday, reveal sources.

Meanwhile, Director Gautham Menon released a teaser trailer from their latest collaboration, previously called ‘Sattrendru Maarudhu Vaanilai’ as a birthday gift from the crew. A tough looking Simbhu fights off thugs in the trailer in a scene reminiscent of the boxing scene from the hugely popular ‘Vinnai Thaandi Varuvaaya.’ Pallavi Subhash, a sitcom star from Mumbai plays the female lead.
