Special 26, a heist-thriller, is based on the infamous 1987 Opera House heist, where a group, posing as Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) officers, looted an affluent jeweller in Mumbai. The film, directed by Neeraj Pandey, was one of the biggest Bollywood hits in 2013.
Harish Shankar’s last release was Subramanyam For Sale, starring Sai Dharam Tej and Regina Cassandra, which released in 2015. He is currently occupied with the pre-production work for his next film, Duvvada Jagannadham (DJ), starring Allu Arjun. The movie was launched a couple of weeks ago. He will commence the work for the remake after he is done with DJ.
