Comeback For Raasi With New Projects

Actress Raasi, a major figure in the Telugu industry for several years, says she is back for good, and is already on board several projects. Talking to Silverscreen, she said: “I’m happy to be back. Yes, I’ve signed a few projects but I want my producers to announce on my behalf. I’m not at the liberty to divulge any information.”

A leading actress in the 90s and early 2000s, Raasi is making a comeback after a decade. Married to filmmaker SS Nivas, the Subhakankshalu star is now a mother of a 9 ¼ year old daughter, named Ridhima. “I didn’t take a break to settle down as a mother,” she said. “I’ve been acting from a very young age and when I got married, I decided to take time off for myself. With Ridhima’s entry into my life, a lot has changed,” she added, clarifying that she hasn’t changed much as an artist.

Known as Manthra in Tamil, she’s open to working in any southern industry, provided she gets good roles. “As long as I add value to a project with my presence, I’d be glad to be part of it. Language has never been a barrier,” she said.
