Ark Saravan, who has previously helmed the 2017 fantasy comedy Maragadha Nanayam, will be collaborating with the actor for the first time on the upcoming untitled film, which is tentatively called HHT6.

According to the makers, the film is set to hit the big screens in 2022 and will be a “big-budget fantasy entertainer.”

Speaking to Silverscreen India, a source close to the film unit, on condition of anonymity, said, “It will be a fantasy action-comedy. The director penned the script after finishing Maragadha Nanayam. It is a family entertainer, just like his previous film. But this one will have a more commercial metre.”

The project was originally supposed to take off in 2018, the source revealed, adding that Adhi coming into the project was an unplanned opportunity. “The director had first pitched it to the banner and later, Adhi came on board. Apart from him, the film will also feature some known faces, including most of the cast members from Maragadha Nanayam. Prasanna GK and NK Rahul, who served as the editor and art director, respectively, of the director’s first film, are also part of this project.”

There are chances that Adhi himself might compose the music for the film, the source added.

HHT6 will go on floors in the first week of December and will be shot in Chennai for 20 days, followed by a 50-day schedule in Pollachi. “There is a lot of VFX involved and the film will connect well with kids,” the source said.

Ark Saravan had earlier announced a sequel to Maragadha Nanayam, which he is expected to take up after his film with Hiphop Tamizha Adhi.

Meanwhile, Adhi’s other film with Sathya Jyothi Films, Anbarivu, was wrapped up recently. Directed by debutant filmmaker Aswin Raam, Anbarivu is in the post-production stage.
