Sivakarthikeyan, who is busy with hand full of projects, is currently working with director R Ravikumar of Indru Netru Naalai fame. The yet-to-be-titled film reportedly has Hollywood technicians, and is being made on a big budget with high-end equipment.
According to a report, the director said, “Since the film is a science fiction, there is so much graphic work done on it. More than 100 technicians from Hollywood are working day and night for the best outcome. A camera called Alexa LF, which is particularly used only in Hollywood, has been used for filming here. This the first time that Tamil cinema is using such hi-tech cameras for shoot. It will be break through in Sivakarthikeyan’s career.”
The film stars Sivakarthikeyan and Rakul Preet Singh in the lead. Sivakarthikeyan plays a farmer in the film, while Rakul Preet will be seen as a working woman. Produced by RD Raja under the banner 24 AM studios, music for the film is composed by AR Rahman, and cinematography is by Nirav Shah. Shoot is said to have happened in Chennai, Hyderabad and Araku Valley in Andhra Pradesh. The film also stars Karunakaran and Yogi babu as comedians, Ishag Opkar, Bhanupriya and others in pivotal roles.
According to a report in The News Minute, the film is based on alien invasion, a concept which is new to Kollywood but has been widely used in Hollywood. However, there is no confirmation regarding this from the actor or the makers. The film is expected to hit screens in 2020.

On the work front, Sivakarthikeyan has another film directed by PS Mithran, which is said to go on floors in February. The film will star Arjun Sarja in a pivotal role, with music by Yuvan Shankar Raja, cinematography by George C Williams, and editing by Ruben.
