Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan to Star in the Hindi Remake of ‘Vikram Vedha’

Actors Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan have been roped in to star in the Hindi remake of the 2017 Tamil film Vikram Vedha. They are said to essay the lead roles in the upcoming film.

This is the first collaboration between Saif Ali Khan and Hrithik Roshan.

Directed by Pushkar and Gayathri, the original version of Vikram Vedha is a neo-noir crime thriller about a righteous police officer Vikram and a gangster Vedha. It featured R.Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi in the lead while Shraddha Srinath, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, and Kathir were a part of the supporting cast.

According to a report by The News Minute,  filmmaker Neeraj Pandey is all set to produce the film under his company Friday Filmworks. He will be producing the film in association with Reliance Entertainment and S. Sashikanth of YNot Studios. Sashikanth also produced the original film in Tamil.

The remake will see Pushkar and Gayathri reprising their roles as directors. “The Hindi remake with Hrithik and Saif is in its advanced pre-production stage and will most likely go on floors next month. We are looking to release it on September 30, 2022,” a source close to the film told PTI.

Hrithik Roshan recently announced that his next film Fighter has gone on floors. He will be essaying the role of an Air Force pilot. The movie is said to be India’s first aerial action film and it also stars Deepika Padukone in the lead. Directed by Siddharth Anand, the film has been produced by Viacom18 Studios, Mamta Anand, Ramon Chibb, and Anku Pande.

The Super 30 actor will also be working on Krishh 4 and the sequel to War.

Meanwhile, Saif Ali Khan’s upcoming film Bhoot Police will release on Disney+Hotstar on September 17. The horror comedy film also stars Jacqueline Fernandez, Yami Gautam, and Arjun Kapoor. Apart from this, Khan will be seen in Om Raut’s Adipurush and Bunty Aur Babli 2.
