Actor Vishal’s recent declaration – that he would act for free in a movie to help raise funds for the construction of the Nadigar Sangam office – has come under criticism. The actor’s effort has been dubbed as ‘a strategic move to win votes to become the leader of Nadigar Sangam’.
However, in an interview to Kumudham, Vishal clarified his intention. “I don’t want to contest against actor Sarath Kumar. And I’m not sure if I deserve to be a leader. I have always wanted to help actors who are out of business. So to offer help, I don’t require a position. I will forever support actors,” he said.
Vishal also added that the construction of the new office will begin soon after he’s collected funds, and is expected to finish in about nine months.
The actor had earlier declared that he would rope in friends Arya, Jiiva and Karthi to star in the movie.
