Malayalam actor Dileep has been remanded to judicial custody of 14 days in connection with the abduction and alleged sexual assault of an actress. The actor addressed waiting media when he was brought to the Magistrate Court in Kochi. He said he was not afraid of anyone and claimed he had not committed any crime.
The Ramaleela actor was arrested on Monday morning after being questioned by the police for over 5 hours. He has been sent to the sub-jail in Aluva, 25 kms from Kochi.

According to an IE report, Pulsar Suni, the main accused in the case, had claimed a couple of days ago that “big sharks” would fall. Only two weeks ago, Dileep and his friend and actor-director Nadirshah underwent 13 hours of questioning by the Special Investigation Team at Aluva Club. The report also states that Nadirshah has been taken into custody, but an official announcement is yet to be made.
Several news reports suggest that soured business deals between Dileep and the actress led to the former hiring Pulsar Suni to settle scores.
