Vijay Sethupathi may get an interesting new look for his next film. Leaked pictures from the sets of his next film with Thiagarajan Kumararaja show Vijay Sethupathi sporting a saree. The film went on floors late last week. Also seen in the picture are Thiagarajan and PC Sreeram, who expressed his delight at being a part of the project.

Actors Samantha and Fahadh Faasil are also part of the film. The director’s debut, Aaranya Kaandam, a neo-noir gangster film, is considered a cult classic in Tamil cinema. It had Jackie Shroff, Ravi Krishna, Sampath Raj, and Guru Somasundaram in pivotal roles. The film received great appreciation after its theatrical release. The film also won two National Awards, one for Best Editing, and another for Best First Film of a Director. Aaranya Kaandam appeared on many top ten or top five lists of the best films of 2011.
