Irrfan Khan’s Son Babil To Make His Cinema Debut Soon

Irrfan Khan’s son Babil Khan will soon work in his father’s next movie, directed by filmmaker Tanuja Chandra. Pegged as a travelogue, the film will have Babil as the camera assistant. Cinema site Bollywood Hungama reports that the film went on floors last month in Rajasthan.

Babil, who recently finished his schooling, had expressed an interest in filmmaking. The crew has reportedly completed the shoot in Rewari, Rajasthan, and is currently shooting in Hrishikesh, on the Himalayan foothills of Uttarakhand. It is likely to end next month in Gangtok.

Produced by Zee Studios, the film is expected to release in the latter half of 2017.

Meanwhile, Irrfan Khan’s movie No Bed Of Roses, directed by Bangladeshi filmmaker Mostofa Sarwar Farooki, continues to remain banned in Bangladesh. The film is loosely based on the life and work of late Bangladeshi writer and filmmaker Humayun Ahmed, who divorced his wife and married an actress 33 years younger than him. In the film, Khan plays a filmmaker named Javed Hasan who leaves his wife and marries an actress who was his daughter’s classmate in school. Farooki reportedly took the matter to court.
