Meendum Oru Kadhal Kadhai (MOKK) which was scheduled for a 5 August release, has been postponed to avoid clashes with other films releasing this weekend. The movie has actress Isha Talwar and debutant actor Walter Philips in the lead role. Mithran Jawahar, who has made films like Yaaradi Nee Mohini, Kutty and Uthamaputhiran has directed MOKK.
Mithran Jawahar, while speaking to Silverscreen.in said that the decision to delay the movie’s release was to ensure the movie has a level playing field. “Since there are a lot of releases this week, we decided to push our release date. We also faced nonavailability of theatres”, said the director who was busy doing a radio show. He confirmed the movie will be released in late August.
The movie is the remake of the 2012 Malayalam hit film, Thattathin Marayathu. The film has Nivin Pauly and Isha Talwar in the lead roles. MOKK has music by G V Prakash, cinematography by Vishnu Sharma and is edited by Thiyagarajan.

Thattathin Marayathu was a successful film earning the actress Isha Talwar widespread recognition for her role. She made her Tamil debut alongside actor/RJ Shiva in Thillu Mullu. Isha Talwar, talking to Silverscreen.in said, she was very excited about the movie since this is her first remake film. “It’s a great opportunity to have worked in this film. Since I am acting in a Tamil movie after some time, this is a good comeback for me”. She also said that there were very a few changes made to her character and she hoped the Tamil audience enjoys the film as much as the Malayalam audience did. Talking about the language barrier, she laughed it off saying, “My character speaks very little in the movie. Language wasn’t an issue”.
