Filmmaker Gautham Vasudev Menon on Wednesday released the first look of upcoming Tamil film Iswarya Murugan, being directed by R Panneerselvam who has also directed films Renigunta and Karuppan.
Menon took to Twitter on Wednesday evening to reveal the first look poster. The poster on top shows a couple who is in distress while below, it shows five men wielding machetes sitting on railway tracks, with the title of the film written below. The film title is also dotted with tiny machetes that suggests gore might be a recurring theme in the film.

The film will be bankrolled under the Masterpiece and Rockfort Entertainment banners produced by GR Venkatesh and K Vinoth. Music for the film will be composed by Ganesh Raghavendra.
The title of the film was officially launched on Tuesday by filmmaker Linguswamy.

Director of Iswarya Murugan, Panneer Selvam had directed his first film Renigunta starring Johnny Chakravarthy and Sanjana Singh back in 2009. In 2012 he wrote and directed 18 Vayasu, a film about a mentally unstable youngster. Only after a nearly four-year break, he kicked off his next project- Karuppan starring Tanya Rao and Vijay Sethupathi.
Iswarya Murugan will be his fourth directorial venture after nearly a three-year-gap.
