Ever since the trailer of Vikram Vedha, directed by Pushkar-Gayathri was released, the onscreen presence of Vijay Sethupathi and Madhavan has set high expectations. While Vijay Sethupathi is a gangster, Madhavan is a cop in this film, which is based on the Vikramadityan Vedhalam stories.
Vijay Sethupathi said, “I had so many thoughts in my mind during my first day of shoot with Madhavan. Considering he is a senior actor, I was thinking about how to get along with him. When the light comes the darkness goes away -like that, Madhavan came like a light and lightened up my dark thoughts. We instantly created a good rapport.”
Talking about the film, he said: “Though the trailer is violent, this is actually a sweet, emotional film.”
