IT Raid At Actor Rashmika Mandanna’s House

Rashmika Mandanna At The 'Dear Comrade' Press Meet

The income tax department is conducting a search and seize operation in south Indian actor Rashmika Mandanna’s home. Mandanna has acted in films like Geetha Govindam, Dear Comrade, Sarileru Neekevvaru (running now in theatres), and many Kannada films.

The 23-year-old’s home in Virajpet in Kodagu district is where the IT raid is underway. The Hindu reported that “A team of IT officials from Bengaluru landed up at the house at around 7:30 a.m. There is no information whether Rashmika is in the house or not.”

The Newsminute has reported that “Income Tax Department sources say that search operations are underway at Serenity Hall, owned by Rashmika’s father Madan Mandanna and also his office premises.”

The department reportedly suspects Mandanna has evaded tax. The Newsminute report also says the actor had only yesterday said, ” I am not the highest paid actor. I am just starting off in the film industry. When people say I am the highest paid actor in Sandalwood, I wonder where the news is coming from. I don’t have any money in the bank. I still feel like a debutant.”
