“After winning the Oscar, I had said in an interview that my dream is to record the live sounds of Thrissur Pooram festival. After the reading the interview, Palmstone multimedia from the US approached me for a documentary based on the festival. That’s how we came up with the story idea and later the concept expanded into a feature film. I play myself, a sound engineer in the film,” he told Silverscreen

The film, which also has Sunil Sugatha and Joy Mathew, is being directed by  Prasad Prabhakar. About recording live the Pooram festival for the film, Resul Pookutty said, “Pooram festival is also part of this film and we shot the grandeur of the festival with around 30 cameras. Finally, my wish was fulfilled. Pooram festival includes the sound of 150 elephants, 10 lakh people and performances by 270 musicians. A visually challenged person can feel the festival with the sounds that we have recorded and that was our intention.”

The first look posters from the film are out and the audio launch of the film is scheduled on November 12 in Chennai.
