SK Vetriselvan, a former assistant of director Vasanth, told Silverscreen the film is an action-thriller. “Jai plays a software engineer and Athulya stars opposite him. A particular incident turns Jai’s life around and the story is centered on this. The film is packed with a lot of action and entertainment.”

Actor Vaibhav’s brother Sunil Reddy, who starred in Vijay Sethupathi-starrer Seethakaathi as Dhanapal, will be seen in an important role. “We are also in talks with leading actors for the negative role,” he said.

Shoot for the film is on in Chennai, and the team will move to Madurai and parts of Kerala for later schedules. Song sequences will be shot abroad. Sam CS is on board to compose music, cinematography is by Dinesh Kumar, who collaborates regularly with director Vasanth, and editing is by VJ Sabu Joseph, who recently worked on Monster.

The film is produced by US-based Suresh Subramanian for Rain of Arrows Entertainment.

Jai and Athulya Ravi are also shooting for Capmaari with director SA Chandrasekar, co-starring Vaibhavi in the lead. This is Jai’s 25th film and director SAC’s last Tamil film before he retires. The story centres on Jai, Athulya and Vaibhavi, who play IT employees. The director said the film will also be remade in Hindi and a leading actor is already on board.
