Sexual harassment allegations against James Franco emerged soon after he won the Golden Globe award for Best Actor in a Musical of Comedy for The Disaster Artist, which he had also directed. Several women took to Twitter to point out that the actor who was wearing a Time’s Up – a campaign against gender discrimination and sexual harassment – pin to the award ceremony, had sexually harassed them.

Following the accusations, The New York Times cancelled an event that featured James and his brother Dave Franco. “The event was intended to be a discussion of the making of the film The Disaster Artist. Given the controversy surrounding recent allegations, we’re no longer comfortable proceeding in that vein,” The New York Times said in an email statement.
The actor, however, has denied the allegations when questioned by Late Show host Stephen Colbert.
“The things I heard are not accurate, but I completely support people coming out because they didn’t have a voice for so long. I don’t want to shut them down in anyway. I think its a good thing and I support it,” James Franco said on the show. ” If I’ve done something wrong, I will fix it,” he further added.
