Posters featuring Jayam Ravi in nine different roles from Comali, directed by Pradeep Ranganathan, have released. The film, co-starring Kajal Aggarwal in the lead, will wrap up soon.
The posters were released over 10 days by RJ Balaji, Vijay Sethupathi, D Imman, Arya, Jiiva, Kajal Aggarwal, Mohan Raja and others. They feature Jayam Ravi in completely different roles, as a patient, prisoner, king, security guard, and in the last one as a high school student.

The director told Silverscreen, “There’s a story within the film, and these are the nine characters that feature in it. Kajal Aggarwal will be seen throughout as well.” The last poster was released by Jayam Ravi’s brother, director Mohan Raja, who said that his look reminded him of young Ravi. Director Pradeep said that Jayam Ravi underwent a lot of preparation for this role. “He reduced close to 20 kgs for the portion. It’s set in a school, and will feature as an important sequence for about 20 minutes in the film.”
The director earlier said that the film is a family comedy entertainer which looks at the changes that developments in technology brings to our lives. Kajal Aggarwal and Jayam Ravi will be seen together for the first time. Kajal’s role is said to be the more serious one in the film. Kannada actor Samyuktha Hegde is making her Tamil debut, also as the heroine, and actor Yogi Babu has an important role.
Songs and background score for the film, composed by Hiphop Tamizha, are complete. The final leg of shooting will be over in two days. Post-production work is going on simultaneously and CG and graphic works are also on. A teaser and other release announcements can be expected soon.
