Yesteryear actress Jayasudha who was last seen in Tamil cinema in 1977, is now making a comeback with the Tamil-Telugu bilingual movie Brahmotsavam. According to a report from Dinamalar, the actress essays a pivotal role in the movie, along with actors Revathi and Naresh.
In 2000, Jayasudha’s role as a middle-class mother in Mani Ratnam’s Alaipayuthey was a career-defining, critically acclaimed performance. The actress returns to Tamil industry after a gap of six years.
Brahmotsavam marks the Tamil debut of actor Mahesh Babu. Directed by Srikanth Addala, this bilingual’s star cast includes Mahesh Babu, Samantha, Pranitha, Kajal Aggarwal, Sathyaraj and Brahmaji in significant roles. Produced by PVP Cinema, this film will release on Pongal 2016.
