Actor JD Chakravarthy, who was last seen in Arima Nambi, is reportedly in talks with director Pa Ranjith, to act in Ranjith’s upcoming film with Rajinikanth. Further, a New Indian Express report suggests that there could be a Hindi remake of the film with actor Akshay Kumar reprising Rajinikanth’s role. JD Chakravarthy is likely to be an integral part of the Hindi version as well.
Some reports suggest that the film could be titled ‘Kaali’. Director Ranjith had said, at an event in Chennai, that Rajinikanth’s role would be similar to his famous role as ‘Kaali’ from Mullum Malarum.
Shooting will commence in August in Malaysia. The film also has on board actor Kalaiyarasan of Madras fame, and Prakash Raj, as well as music director Santhosh Narayanan.
