Actors Jimmy Sheirgill and Tabu are all set to collaborate again after a period of 22 years. Sheirgill had first worked with Tabu in Maachis in 1996, which incidentally marked his debut. While they starred in Silsilay (2005), they weren’t paired with each other. However, this new collaboration of theirs is set in a different space, produced by Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety‘s maker Luv Ranjan.
Directed by Akiv Ali, the untitled film is said to be an urban comedy, starring Ajay Devgn and Tabu in the lead. Tabu and Devgn were first paired in Vijaypath and then they worked in the sleeper-hit, Drishyam. Says a source to DNA, “Strangely, Tabu and Jimmy’s path haven’t crossed during the last 22 years. The two actors are happy to work together again. In fact, Tabu even mentioned to people that it’s incredible to work with Jimmy after such a long time.”

In the last three years, Tabu has collaborated with several of her former co-stars. She also reunited with Ajay after an 18-year break in Drishyam (2015) and last year’s Golmaal Again (2017). “Ajay, Tabu and Jimmy are such good actors. Tabu was last seen in the psychological drama Missing with Manoj Bajpayee, while Sheirgill was last seen in Anurag Kashyap’s sports drama Mukkabaaz. He will next be seen in Phamous, slated for a June 2 release.
