A sequel to the John Abraham-Genelia D’Souza starrer Force is on its way.
Force, a remake of Gautham Menon’s Tamil blockbuster Kaakha Kaakha, was released in 2011. The suspense-thriller revolving around a team of encounter specialists taking on a drug mafia, did good business at the box-office.
According to a report in the Times of India, Force’s producer Vipul Shah has decided to make a sequel to Force titled Force 2. Reportedly, Force’s director Nishikant Kamathas been replaced by another director – Abhinay Deo, who directed Delhi Belly and the popular thriller series ’24’.
John Abraham, who played the daredevil police officer’s role in Force, will star in the sequel as well. The leading lady hasn’t been finalized . Force 2 will go on floor in September 2015 and will release in early 2016.
