Jojo Rabbit Wins ‘People’s Choice’ Award At TIFF 2019

Jojo Rabbit, one of the many movies screened at the Toronto International Film Festival, has won the People’s Choice Award. It now joins a list which includes, The King’s Speech, 12 Years a Slave, Slumdog Millionaire & Green Book, which also went on to win the Best Picture Oscar.

The movie that has been in the news for all the right reasons has been described as “an anti-hate satire” based on the book Caging Skies by Christine Leunens. Helmed by Taika Waititi, Jojo Rabbit stars Scarlett Johansson, Thomasin McKenzie, Roman Griffin Davis and Sam Rockwell. The movie is set to hit the screens this year.
