The video was unveiled on the 119th birth anniversary of Komaram Bheem, a tribal leader from Telangana. Junior NTR is seen donning the role of the strong and determined leader with glimpses of conflicts in his life. The one-and-a-half-minute video, shot in shades of blue (signifying water), also bears a striking resemblance to Rajamouli’s 2015 super hit film Baahubali due to the landscapes and the actor’s characterisation.
Meanwhile, the motion poster of Alluri Sitaramaraju’s character, played by Ram Charan (signifying fire), was released in March.
Ram Charan lent his voice to the teaser that released in five languages- Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada- the film’s publicist Nikil Murukan announced on Twitter, before the teaser’s release.

A fictional tale of Indian revolutionaries, RRR is based in the 1920s on the lives of two Telugu freedom fighters- Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem, who fought against the British Raj and the Nizam of Hyderabad, respectively.
With a production cost of around Rs 450 crore, the film will feature Ram Charan, Junior NTR, Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn, Shriya Saran, Ray Stevenson from the film Thor, Alison Doody, and Olivia Morris, among others.
The shooting had started in 2019 but came to a halt due to the Covid-19 lockdown. On October 5, the cast and crew had resumed shooting in Hyderabad. Actors and crew members were reportedly put up at hotels in Madhapur and Banjara Hills, as per quarantine norms. A video was uploaded on YouTube on October 6 captioned as: “#WeRRRBack giving a glimpse into a post- pandemic Rajamouli film set.”
