The national-award winning child artists of Kaakka Muttai – Ramesh and Vignesh – got a pleasant surprise when Fox Star Studios, the distributors of the movie, took them to meet their favourite cricketer MS Dhoni.
The kids were flown along with director Manikandan to Mumbai, where they met Dhoni at DY Patil Stadium. The cricketer congratulated the kids and reportedly, Dhoni was super impressed by the cheeriness and innocence of the two kids.
Ramesh, who played Chinna Kaakka Muttai in the film, said, “Dhoni sir was very friendly and warm. He congratulated us and gave us a big hug. It was a dream come true for us”. Vignesh aka Periya Kaaka Muttai innocently added that he had to pinch himself to believe that he was actually talking to his idol MS Dhoni.
Kaakka Muttai, a joint production of Dhanush and Vetrimaaran, is doing wonders at the box office. Ramesh and Vignesh won the national award for Best Child Artists for their extra-ordinary performance in the movie.
