Universal Pictures India’s Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom gets a new release date. The film which was slated for release on June 8, will now be released on June 7, clashing with Superstar Rajinikanth’s mega film Kaala. The makers of both films have officially confirmed the news.

While the box office has witnessed clashes between Bollywood flicks or Bollywood and Hollywood flicks, this time the battle will be between a Hollywood and a regional film. While the previous outing of Jurassic World, which also featured Irrfan Khan in a key role, had crossed the Rs 100 crore mark in the Indian market, only time will decide its fate this time.

Kaala, the highly anticipated film, directed by Pa.Ranjith, has Rajinikanth playing a gangster. While Universal Pictures’ Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom will try to establish a stronghold, it might be a Tyrannosaurus-sized battle to beat the Superstar on his home turf!
