Kajal Aggarwal has come out in support of PETA. The Maari actress recently launched an ‘Anti-Circus Advertisement’ for the organisation and spoke of her association with them. “This is one cause that I’m very happy to be associated with. I truly believe that if we could make our kids aware, then this can be shut down.”
Kajal also revealed that she was not aware of the abuse that animals went through in circuses until she met Sachin Tendulkar. “It’s really very sad. I saw footage of people beating up and torturing animals to make them perform. As an actor, I know how it is to perform. If it’s not a natural thing, then you’re not supposed to do it. I hope that my association with PETA helps in bringing about a change for all the circus animals.”
The actress is currently shooting for Maari in Chennai, alongside Dhanush.
