Actor Kalaiarasan, who rose to fame with a strong performance in Madras, is now making the transition to hero. The actor has been roped in to star in Mylanji, which has AS Ajayanbala (a former associate of director Vijay) at the helm. Actor Kishore, a regular in director Vijay’s movies, will have a very important role in this project as well.

A visibly thrilled Kalaiarasan spoke to us. “I have known Ajayan for a very long time and it is a pleasure to be debuting as a hero in his first movie as a director. He has created a very strong and intense role for me. I can only hope I live up to his expectations,” he said.
The project was announced yesterday and has already generated a lot of interest due to the presence of two big names in the crew. Dirctor AL Vijay has reportedly co-written the script with Ajayanbala while Thangar Bachan will handle the cinematography. We hear that Bachan was so intrigued by the script that he decided to come onboard to handle the camerawork.
